About Me

About Me

Welcome to Why Not Go—a quiet corner of the internet where curiosity meets adventure, and where travel doesn’t have to be loud to be life-changing.

I’m in my 30s, a mom of two, and someone who has always been deeply fascinated by the way other people live. Whether it’s the subtle rituals of a morning café in Paris, the calm of a seaside village in Portugal, or the layered, chaotic beauty of a Tokyo crosswalk—travel opens me up. It teaches me, softens me, and keeps me asking questions.

Why I Travel

I travel because I want to learn. I want to see how others move through the world, how they eat, rest, greet each other, and build their lives. There’s something sacred in that exchange—standing in someone else’s rhythm for just a moment.

And it doesn’t end when I come home. I carry the details back with me. The simplicity of a Japanese bento box might inspire how I pack school lunches. A warm Turkish tea shared with strangers might shift how I welcome guests into my own home. These moments become part of me, and part of how I raise my children.

But It’s Not Always Easy

Travel changed after becoming a parent. It became slower, heavier, and often more complicated. There are meltdowns, missed naps, and moments when it feels easier to just stay put.

But even so—I keep going. I keep planning, keep booking the flight, keep loading snacks into backpacks. Because travel, for me, isn’t about checking off countries. It’s about staying curious, even when the journey is messy. Especially then.

Why Not Go?

That question is the heartbeat of this blog. It’s a reminder to say yes when I start to doubt. Yes to new streets, yes to unfamiliar languages, yes to the unknown.

Because life is short. And beautiful. And full of stories waiting to be lived.

So… Why not go?
